Testimonials

I noticed that some of the tiles in my bathroom walls were loose and the grout was coming off. I am a very busy so kept on postponing calling someone to fix it. One day I got home and the loose tiles were lying broken on the floor. Can you imagine my frustration? I rang my brother in panic and he gave me Tile Cleaners' contact details. I rang them straight away. The guys told me I needed a tiler and professional regrouting work done so I thought it would take ages to fix my problem. However they organized the work very well. I had my tiles fixed on Friday night the same week and the entire bathroom regrouted on Saturday. Thank you some much for your quick help; it was such a relief.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs » Marble Sealer

  • Q: What can I do to keep my marble tiles looking new after sealing them?
  • A: To keep your marble tiles and grout looking new, Tile Cleaners Sydney® recommend cleaning each week with a mild detergent to remove any dirt or grime from the marble surface. Strong detergents (strong acid or alkali) may affect the sealer, mild detergents and pH neutral substances are strongly recommended. Our best advice to protect your marble tiles is to seal them with one of our highest quality sealers. This is the best protection your marble tiles can receive against staining.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: What should I do to prepare my marble floors before sealing?
  • A: Move all furniture and items off your marble floors so they are ready for when we arrive.
    • Q: How do I know if my marble floors need sealing?
    • A: Tile Cleaners $custom_city® advises the simple "water test". The water test is well known in the stone industry and it will help you determine whether your marble floors require sealing. First you need to place a few drops of water on your stone and let it set for around 10 to 30 minutes then wipe it dry. If your stone did not darken, it means your marble is perfectly sealed and does not require sealing, but if it has darkened, it means that the water was able to penetrate your stone and sealing is required.
      • Q: What is acid etching and how can I protect my marble against it?
      • A: Any acidic substance is harmful for your marble tiles, they can be etched (eaten/corroded) easily and sealing against acid attack is very difficult. The best way to protect your marble tiles from acid attack is to seal and clean spills immediately. The high porosity of stone based tiles makes sealing a must in order to provide protection against future acid attack and liquid spillage.
