Testimonials

We got our tiles more than 25 years ago. We were told that we had a solvent sealer on our tiles, which apparently most companies wouldn't be able to strip off. However we rang a couple of places to check them out. No luck. A friend of mine recommended Tile Cleaners. We rang the guys and they agreed to have a look the next day. We decided to go ahead with the job after getting a satisfactory quote. Tile Cleaners team stripped and resealed our old tiles. We are very grateful for your help guys. Thank you again.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: What is the process I can expect when you come to seal my limestone floors?
  • A: Our professional team will go through the job processes with you step by step so you know exactly what you're getting. The process includes stripping any previous sealer if it was applied, the limestone is then thoroughly cleaned and neutralised so that it is free of dust, residue and anything else that can affect the new sealer. A new sealer is applied to the dry limestone floor and allowed to set. The newly sealed limestone floor will not only look new again, it will be protected and result in your limestone becoming easier to maintain.
    • Q: How do I measure the size of the area of limestone I need sealed?
    • A: We recommend that you measure each limestone area separately. The simplest way to measure is by multiplying the width by the length. For example a room that is 3 meters long and 2 meters wide is 3 X 2 = 6m2 in total.
      • Q: How do I know if my limestone floors need sealing?
      • A: Tile Cleaners $custom_city® advises the simple "water test". The water test is well known in the stone industry and it will help you determine whether your limestone floors require sealing. First you need to place a few drops of water on your stone and let it set for around 10 to 30 minutes then wipe it dry. If your stone did not darken, it means your limestone is perfectly sealed and does not require sealing, but if it has darkened, it means that the water was able to penetrate your stone and sealing is required.
